Among the high profile artistes to join Nyathando for his tour are Ephraim, Abel Chungu and Chileshe Bwalya among others.

Radio chief Mukamba Mwenda, confirmed this at a media briefing in Lusaka on Friday.

Mwenda disclosed that the local tour would have two events in Lusaka and one on the Copperbelt.

He disclosed that his team carefully thought out who would be a good fit to be part of the tour.

“Pompi has put together an album that is going to Minister and we were looking at artistes that were going to come to compliment that ministry,” Mwenda said.

Speaking at the same event, Nyathando said there is need for creativity among gospel artistes.

He said gospel artistes need to adopt modern trends in order to be able to reach out to the masses.

“As gospel artistes, as someone who is representing the kingdom, I feel our innovation needs to be creative. God is a creator so we need to be creative, so even our strategy, even spreading our music, we need to be cutting edge even in trends of what’s going on. Reels are happening right now, those short videos are to feed the reels and obviously we’ve seen amazing results from the reels,”

He added that : “It’s just out of the strategy to make people have access to the music in its visual way,” he said.”

The tour will be held in Lusaka in September.
