Sakala scored impressively when he rounded up Al Khaleej’s Bosnian goalie Ibrahim Sehic in first half stoppage time.

Earlier on 13 minutes, Sakala set up Brazilian, Ricardo for the opener after a trademark run on the left wing.

Sultan Mandash made it 3-0 from the penalty spot in the 76th minute.

Hisham Al Dubais pulled one back for Al Khaleej three minutes to time but it proved to just be a consolation.

It had been an eventful week for Sakala who was fresh from sealing a three million British Pound transfer from Rangers.

Sakala spent two years at the Ibrox where he made 39 goal contributions in 93 appearances.
