Zambia U17 Women’s National Team coach, Carol Kanyemba, has hailed the Copper Princesses despite their narrow 1-0 defeat to Brazil in their World Cup opener at Felix Sanchez Stadium, Santo Domingo.
In a post-match interview monitored on the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) You Tube channel, Kanyemba acknowledged the disappointment but emphasized that the team gave their best performance.
“It’s unfortunate we didn’t get the result we wanted, but the girls played their hearts out,” she said.

“It’s not over. We still have two games and six points to fight for,” she said.
