German Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Svenja Schulze has described the just ended Economic Forum in Berlin as a huge opportunity for Africa to showcase investment opportunities.
Schulze said the investment opportunities showcased at the forum gave the German investors an insight of where investment was needed.
“This has been a great opportunity for Africa to showcase investment opportunities that require German investors,” she said during the official opening of the annual Forum.
The forum was held under the theme: ” Future Day for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).”
Schulze said a number of German SMEs desired to learn about opportunities available so that they contribute to the growth of SMEs in Africa .

And Charge D’Affaires at the Zambian Embassy in Berlin Dorcas Chileshe said she was happy that the Embassy participated in the annual event.
The Embassy, Chileshe said, showcased investment opportunities available in various sectors in Zambia.
“This event provided a good opportunity for the Embassy to interact and share experiences with entrepreneurs from Germany and other countries,” she described the event.
The forum also offered an opportunity for entrepreneurs to find solutions and work towards a strong, innovative, and sustainable economy.
Small and Medium Enterprises make up over 99 percent of all businesses in Germany and create 70 percent of jobs and 80 percent of job training opportunities.
They also account for 75 percent of all patents and innovations.
