Zambia Police mourn loss of deputy spokesperson,Mwale

The Zambia Police have confirmed the death of Deputy Police Spokesperson, Danny Mwale, who passed away on August 30, 2024, in Lusaka after a brief illness.

Mwale, who held the rank of Assistant Commissioner, was remembered in a police statement as a dedicated and esteemed member of the Zambia Police Service, noted for his professionalism, commitment and unwavering service to the nation.

“Mr. Danny Mwale, our Deputy Public Relations Officer, tragically passed away today, August 30, 2024, after a short illness,” the statement from the police public relations unit said.

While his work history was not detailed, the police highlighted Mwale’s significant contributions to public relations within the Service, stating that his efforts had been invaluable and would be greatly missed.

“The Inspector General of Police, on behalf of the entire Zambia Police Service, extends heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family during this difficult time,” the statement read. “Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they navigate through this immense loss.”
