Zambia National Assembly to resume for consideration of key audit reports

The Clerk of the National Assembly of Zambia, Roy Ngulube, has announced that the Third Session of the Thirteenth National Assembly, which adjourned sine die on March 28, 2024, will resume on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 14:30 hours.

Ngulube stated that this session, primarily focused on the consideration of committee reports, was the final meeting on the Parliamentary Calendar.

Among the reports to be reviewed are the Auditor General’s Reports on the Constituency Development Fund and the accounts of Local Authorities for the financial year ending December 31, 2022.

“The Report of the Auditor General on the Audit of the Accounts of Local Authorities for the financial year ended December 31, 2022,” Ngulube said.

Additionally, the session would discuss the Report of the Auditor General on the Accounts of Parastatal Bodies and other Statutory Institutions for the financial year ending December 31, 2022.

The Special Audit Report of the Auditor General on External Public Debt of the Republic of Zambia, covering the period from January 1, 2006, to December 31, 2022, would also be reviewed.
