President Hakainde Hichilema says his administration is creating strategic partnership at regional, continental and global level to promote investment, trade, jobs and other opportunities.
Hichilema said Zambians should take advantage of such opportunities and invest in areas which would increase production and create more jobs.
The Head of State said this on the eve of the 59th Independence of Zambia on Monday in Lusaka.
He said Zambia had no reason to be a poor country because it had enough natural resources which should be utilized in the process of development and citizen empowerment.
“The prospects for future is bright despite the economic challenges being faced as a country,” Hichilema said.
He said the strengthening of local governance through increased Constituency Development Fund (CDF) and citizen participation was contributing greatly to accelerated development.
“Enhanced CDF is improving alot of lives across the country and the government will continue to support progressives initiatives which citizens have in form of project ideas,” Hichilema said.
