This he said enables them progress and qualify to international player standard in both regional and international soccer.
Kangwa said this when he received various sporting equipment and attire from Yango Zambia on Thursday in Lusaka.
He expressed gratitude towards the gesture stating that young footballers can now train to reach their maximum potential.
“We are humbled by the support as this will greatly encourage more Zambian youths to sign up at the academy.
“At Shamuel Soccer Academy we believe our efforts will positively impact the development of the Zambian youth by providing football and life enriching opportunities to young potential players of all ages,” Kangwa said.
Speaking at the same event, Yango Zambia Country Manager Kabanda Chewe emphasised it’s commitment to support youth soccer under its corporate social responsibility.
Kabanda indicated that similar initiatives in other African countries have equally been implemented.
“It is our intention to help enhance the development of soccer in Africa, of which Zambia is a big part of,” she said.
The sponsorship included production and distribution of soccer kits and other equipment to facilitate the operation of the academy worth several thousands of United States dollars.
Since inception, the club has sent players to Turkey, Russia, Israel, Switzerland and Belarus for trials.
