The Zambian music industry is currently buzzing with excitement, as major artistes Yo Maps, Chile One, Mampi, and Mordecaii have all made significant moves in December, giving fans fresh tunes to celebrate.

Yo Maps, whose real name is Elton Mulenga, has fulfilled his promise to his fans by releasing his highly anticipated album, My Hero.

The album, which he described as a heartfelt gift to his loyal supporters, dropped earlier this month, and fans quickly flooded his social media with enthusiastic reactions.

In his announcement, Yo Maps thanked his fans for their unwavering support throughout a challenging year, saying, “This year has been a journey like no other, and I couldn’t have made it through without you—my incredible fans who have stood by me through every high and low.”

Yo Maps further expressed his gratitude by releasing not just a single, but an entire album.

“Instead, I’m giving you an entire album, set to drop this December 2024. This album is a gift from my heart to yours—a thank you for all the love and loyalty you’ve shown me,” he shared.

Meanwhile, Chile One has also made waves by dropping his latest single, Back Again, while Mordecaii, who recently faced delays with his album due to alleged issues with his former manager David Kazadi, has “leaked” his new single, Amen.

Adding to the excitement, Zambian diva Mampi has released her catchy hit song Upezeko Wina, further fueling the December music craze.

With these releases, it may be clear that the Zambian music scene is ending the year on a high note, with fans treated to a diverse mix of heartfelt albums and electrifying singles from some of the industry’s biggest names.
