A 31 year old woman of North-Western’s Kabompo district has died after an attack by a crocodile on the banks of Kabompo river.
Police said the vicious crocodile attacked her while fishing on the banks of the Kabompo river.
North-Western Police Chief Dennis Moola said in a statement on Wednesday that the Zambia Wildlife Authority had shot two reptiles believed to have been terrorizing the people.

He said on Monday Joseph Mununga reported that her elder sister Chinyemba Mununga was attacked by a crocodile around 19:00 hours along the banks of the Kabompo river while fishing.
Moola said the body had not yet been retrieved.
The authority had dispatched officers to the area and managed to get rid of two reptiles.
He said a search for the body of the deceased is ongoing.
