Wizkid teases fans with new track ‘RRR’ ahead of Morayo album release

Famous Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has teased fans with the release of a new track titled “RRR” from his upcoming album, Morayo.

The album, named after Wizkid’s late mother, Jane Dolapo, is a tribute following her passing on August 18, 2024, after an undisclosed illness.

According to The Radar, Wizkid, who has often expressed deep love and admiration for his mother, described her loss as “the deepest pain I’ve ever felt in my life.”

On September 2, in a post by 49th Street on X (formerly Twitter), Wizkid gave fans a glimpse of his long-awaited album with a single, “RRR”.

The post featured a snippet of a promotional video for the Morayo album, captioned “Wizkid – RRR. Out 1st of October.”

The announcement has sparked mixed reactions online, with many eager to experience the emotional depth of the Afrobeats star’s new work.

Some fans, however, voiced their impatience, urging Wizkid to release the full album without further delay.
