Zambia U17 Women’s National Team coach, Carol Kanyemba, has urged her players to give their best performance in the crucial match against Poland on Monday.

Speaking to the media in Lusaka on Saturday, Kanyemba emphasized the importance of securing all three points, noting that Poland was currently one point ahead of the Copper Princesses in the group standings.

“In our group, only Brazil has three points, while the other teams each have one. We need to get maximum points against Poland to improve our chances,” Kanyemba stated.

She expressed confidence in her team’s readiness for the match, adding that the players are equally determined to beat Poland.

“The girls are ready, and they want this victory as much as we do,” she said. “We can’t afford to be complacent. A loss would set us back.”

Meanwhile, team doctor Lalisa Nambeye confirmed the squad’s preparedness, noting that only Precious remains sidelined due to injury.

“It’s very hot, so we’re focusing on hydration, but except for Precious, all the players are ready for the match,” Nambeye added.
