Former Lusaka Province Minister, Bowman Lusambo, says government should not see citizens who are criticising their works as enemies of the State.
Lusambo said the United Party for National Development (UPND) should instead see such people as partners in the smooth governance of the country.
“The new dawn should not consider those of us who criticize them as enemies of the State. We are partners in the governance of the country and the UPND should consider themselves lucky that we can criticize them where they are wrong and praise them when they do well.

“In their time in the opposition, they never saw anything good that the PF did. So, we are not enemies and we shall continue to provide genuine and constructive criticism,” Lusambo said in an interview on Tuesday.
Lusambo also alleged that the UPND administration was afraid of losing the general elections in 2026 hence, the plot to silence the voices of the opposition.
He stated that Zambia was a democracy and people were freeto vote out leaders who did not meet their expectations.
Lusambo, therefore, challenged government to up its game and fulfil the promises they made to the Zambian people when they were in opposition.
