Two Grade five pupils from Angelina Tembo Primary School in Kabwe’s Bwacha Township have tragically lost their lives when a school boundary wall collapsed on them.
The incident occurred around 11:50 hours on Monday when the girls, both aged 10, were about to enter the school premises.
According to Central Province Police Commissioner, Charity Munganga, the collapse was triggered by a Benz truck, registration number AJD 7364, driven by Enock Zulu.
The truck, contracted to deliver roofing sheets to the school, missed the gate and crashed into the boundary wall.
“The accident happened around 11:50 hours at Angelina Tembo Primary School in Kabwe’s Bwacha Township,” Munganga stated.
