Tottenham Hotspur handed Manchester United a crushing 3-0 defeat at Old Trafford on Sunday, increasing pressure on manager Erik ten Hag.

Spurs started aggressively, with Micky van de Ven cutting through United’s defense just three minutes in, creating an early chance for Brennan Johnson that set the tone for the match.

United’s fortunes worsened in the 42nd minute when captain Bruno Fernandes received a straight red card for a reckless challenge on James Maddison, leaving the hosts with a daunting task.

The result moves Ange Postecoglou’s men to eighth place with 10 points, while United drops to 12th, trailing Brentford on goal difference.

Elsewhere, Ipswich Town secured a dramatic 2-2 draw against Aston Villa at Portman Road, with Liam Delap netting twice, including a late equalizer.
