Thieves burgle Prime Television

Unknown people have stolen a laptop and a video camera belonging to Prime Television after  breaking the window of a motor vehicle.

The vehicle was parked at Sandy’s Creations Lodge in Chilanga District while the owner identified as Elias Limwanya was attending a workshop at the same lodge.

The value of the property stolen is K27,000.

The incident occurred on February 9, 2023 between 11:00 hours and 17:00 hours at Sandy’s Creations Lodge, says Deputy Police Public Relations Officer Danny Mwale.

“Police initial investigations indicate that on the material day, Mr Limwanya went to the lodge at 11:00 hours for a workshop and parked the motor vehicle within the lodge premises.

“All the doors were locked and the said items were inside the car,” Mwale said in a statement issued on Friday in Lusaka.

He said after the workshop around 17:00 hours,  Limwanya went to the car only to discover that the left side passenger window was broken and the door was open, with the HP laptop and a video camera missing.

Mwale stated that police visited the scene and confirmed the report after viewing the CCTV which showed that suspects were driving a black Toyota Mark X.

“Unknown people stole a laptop and a video camera after breaking the window of a motor vehicle which was parked at Sandy’s Creations Lodge in Chilanga District.

“The motor vehicle, a Toyota Vitz, registration number BAT 2341, property of Prime Television, was parked at the Lodge while the owner identified as Elias Limwanya was attending a workshop at the same lodge,” Mwale said.
