Somalian national, 17, arrested by police for allegedly sodomising eight years old boy in Kitwe

Police in Kitwe have reportedly apprehended a 17-year-old Somalian national for sodomising an eight year old boy of Buchi Township Kitwe.

The victim sustained bruises on his anus.

Copperbelt Police Chief, Peacewell Mweemba, said on the material day the accused person took the child in his makeshift shop, where he undressed him and had unlawful carnal knowledge with the child against the order of nature.

“The boy sustained painful anus and later reported to her mother, who in turn informed her husband who later reported the case at Buchi Kamitondo Police Post,” Mweemba said.

Acting on the report, the Police visited the scene and arrested the accused person and has taken him into Police custody.
