Sheffield United has conceded more goals in the Premier League since Ipswich Town in 1963/1964, making them the second team to do so since that time.

The trend continued when Wolves secured a 1-0 victory against Sheffield at Molineux on Sunday, bringing the total goals conceded by Wolves to 66 after 26 matches in this Premier League season.

Pablo Sarabia’s lone goal propelled Wolves to 8th place in the Premier League championship with 38 points.

Notably, Wolves have won 11 Premier League matches so far this season, matching their total from the entire 2022/2023 campaign.

Despite starting on the front foot, Wolves faced strong counter-attacks from Sheffield United.

At one instance, Rhian Brewster had a shot blocked before his subsequent efforts were saved by Jose Sa.

The game remained intense as Sheffield United initiated the second half positively, with Wolves struggling to maintain momentum.

However, despite the challenges, Wolves managed to secure a win, bringing them to 38 points.

In contrast, Sheffield United, who lost for the 19th time in the league, remains bottom with 13 points.
