A security guard at Simba Beverages in Lusaka has shot and wounded five company workers with a shotgun at the company premises.
According to Police Deputy Public Relations Officer, Danny Mwale, the victims, all men aged between 22 and 27, were questioning the guard about whether his firearm was real or a toy when the incident occurred.
“It is alleged that the security guard, in trying to prove that he was not holding a toy, pointed the gun at the five before firing at them,” Mwale explained.
