The Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) has filed a lawsuit against TINA World International Limited in the Lusaka High Court, seeking over K300,000 for the company’s failure to deliver card printer accessories.
The legal action arises from a contract signed on June 5, 2023, in which TINA World International Limited was contracted to supply card printer accessories for a total cost of K1,243,197.08.
Under the terms of the contract, RTSA made an advance payment of 25 percent of the contract sum, amounting to K310,799.27.
Despite receiving the advance payment, TINA World International Limited failed to deliver the agreed goods.
On September 7, 2023, the company requested and was granted an extension of time, but still did not fulfill its contractual obligations.

Due to the company’s continued failure to deliver, RTSA demanded a refund of the advance payment and notified TINA World International Limited of its intention to terminate the contract.
Despite multiple reminders, the company had not refunded the advance payment or completed the contract.
On January 2, 2024, in accordance with clause 31 of the contract, RTSA exercised its right to terminate the contract and demanded a refund of the advance payment.
RTSA is now seeking damages for breach of contract, the payment of K310,799.27, interest on the amount due and legal costs.
