Goals by Paul Katema and Alasanne Diarra in extra time secured the Airmen’s semi-final triumph at the Azam Sports Complex.

In the other semi-final, APR defeated Al Hilal of Sudan 5-4 on post-match penalties.

The Airmen are now confident of winning the $30,000 prize money for the tournament champions. Red Arrows have made a remarkable comeback after suffering a humiliating 5-0 defeat to Al Hilal in the preliminary stage.

Red Arrows will use this tournament to prepare for the upcoming season and their CAF Champions League match against Malawi’s Nyasa Big Bullets next month.
