Rashford’s brace sends Emery’s side to FA Cup semi-finals, as Aston Villa wallop Preston 3-0

Marcus Rashford netted his first goals for Aston Villa as they eased past Preston North End to book a place in the FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley.

The Manchester United loanee, who had impressed since joining Villa but had gone nine games without scoring, ended his drought with a quickfire double.

In a match reported by The Independent, he finished off a swift attacking move before converting a penalty after Morgan Rogers was fouled.

Preston, the only remaining Championship side in the competition, struggled to respond, and Jacob Ramsey sealed Villa’s dominant win with a third goal.
