Hichilema said this when he received letters of credence from Diplomats from the Kingdom of Eswatini, Saudi Arabia and Cuba on Tuesday in Lusaka at State House.

The diplomats who presented their letters of credence include Cuba’s Ambassador Designate to Zambia Mariledis Marales, High Commissioner-Designate of the Kingdom of Eswatini, Lindiwe Kunene and Saudi Arabia Ambassador Designate to Zambia Ali Saad Akhatani.

The Head of State urged the Diplomats to be in the forefront in resolving regional conflicts which unfortunately is on the rise.

Hichilema also commended the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the role it is playing in resolving the conflict in Sudan and ensuring that peace returns to that country, saying it is his desire that all parts of the world should experience peace.

“We wish to thank Cuba, Saudi Arabia and Eswatini for all the support we have received from them over the decades, and encouraged deeper business-to-business relationships and government projects like the Saudi-funded King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Specialised Hospital in Lusaka,” he said.
