President Hichilema sacks Nkombo, appoints Sialubalo as new Minister of Local Government

President Hakainde Hichilema has terminated the appointment of Gary Nkombo as Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, in accordance with Article 270 of the Constitution of Zambia.

State House Principal Private Secretary, Bradford Machila, announced that Sinazongwe Member of Parliament, Gift Simuunza Sialubalo, has been appointed as the new minister.

“In line with Article 270 of the Constitution, President Hichilema has terminated Hon. Gary Nkombo from his position as Minister of Local Government and Rural Development,” Machila said.

President Hichilema expressed gratitude to Hon. Nkombo for his service and wished him God’s blessings in his future endeavors.

He congratulated the newly appointed Minister and wished him God’s blessings in his new role.
