President Hakainde Hichilema has terminated the contract of Milner Muyambango as Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Operations at the Zambia Police.
According to a statement issued by State House Chief Communication Specialist Clayson Hamasaka on Thursday, the decision was pursuant to Article 270 of the Constitution of Zambia.

“The President has expressed gratitude to Mr Muyambango for the service to the government for his service to the government and wishes him well in his future endeavours,” Hamasaka said.
He said President Hichilema reiterated the importance of public officers respecting the rule of law, upholding the rule of law and accountable to the citizens they serve.
A replacement is yet to be announced.
