Police are holding a 49-year-old man for the offence of impersonating a Public Officer.
The man has been identified as Abel Musonda Muyembe of Chinika Industrial Park in Lusaka.
Muyembe was masquerading as an Advocate in the Lands Tribunal and has been obtaining money from members of the public by False Pretences.
He was arrested on February 13, 2023 around 12:00 hours.
This is according to Danny Mwale Deputy Police Public Relations Officer in a statement issued in Lusaka on Tuesday.

Mwale said initial investigations revealed that the suspect was not an Advocate and that he has no qualifications related to the field.
“Police officers were alerted and immediately investigations were instituted which led to the arrest of the suspect.
“He is charged with the offence of Personating a Public Officer contrary to section 102 chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia,” he said.
Police, Mwale said, had since engaged the Law Association of Zambia in the matter.
