The legal troubles of PF Information and Publicity Chairperson, Emmanuel Mwamba, have deepened as his sureties, Musanzala member of parliament (MP), Elias Daka, and Mufulira Central MP, Golden Mwila, were penalized for failing to account for his whereabouts.
Lusaka Magistrate, Trevor Kasanda, ordered the two lawmakers to forfeit K50,000 each, to be paid immediately, or face remand in custody.
The MPs failed to provide a convincing explanation for Mwamba’s continued absence from court.

Mwamba is facing charges of assaulting police officer, Detective Inspector Simwenda Steven on June 14, 2023, in Lusaka.
His repeated failure to attend court sessions led to a bench warrant being issued.
The two MPs promptly forfeited the K50,000 each to the state.
