PF member of parliament, Chabinga, urges former ruling party to embrace Hichilema’s administration

Mafinga law maker, Robert Chabinga, who is at loggerheads with his party, the Patriotic Front (PF) over alleged romance with the ruling United Party for National Development (UPND), has urged  the party to embrace current political realities.

Chabinga, during the  induction service of United Church of Zambia (UCZ) Reverend, John Muteba, in Kitwe on Sunday, urged the former ruling party to embrace change.

“PF members should stop living in denial, they should  accept that the government has changed, President Hakainde Hichilema needs the  support of everyone,” Chabinga said.

He said debt restructuring was a good thing but because the former ruling party had failed to move on, they have continued underplaying the achievements for political expediency.

“Most of the of members are living  in denial, this is the time to accept reality.

Chabinga termed President Hakainde Hichilema as a progressive leader whose policies were changing the country for the better .

He said with President Hichilema at the helm of power, the country stood a good chance of being transformed economically.

Chabinga, who risks being expelled by his party, PF, for siding with the ruling party, urged the former not to downplay debt restructuring.

Others who attended the event included Kalulushi District Commissioner, Kelly Jibinga, among others.

Reverend Muteba, after induction, pledged to work with the government, the community and other stakeholders to  better the living standards of the people.
