Golden Party of Zambia leader, Jackson Silavwe, says President Hakainde Hichilema’s obsession with Edgar Lungu was fuelling the former president’s political resurrection.
Silavwe said this situation was extremely disturbing and should have any progressive citizen very concerned and worried.
He said the President had become the campaign manager for the Patriotic Front (PF) and Lungu for free, according to a statement issued in Lusaka on Sunday.
“In two years, Hichilema has lowered his standard of leadership from the one set in his speech at community house as President Elect,” Silavwe said.
He said what was more shocking to note was the President’s standard of governance and performance based on Lungu and the PF’s record whom the people kicked out of power with gross contempt.
Silavwe said the best way to punish and expose Lungu or the PF was for the President to focus on tangible deliverables to the people.
“I urge Hichilema not to swim in the political mud of ECL and PF, his legacy will be dented and economic performance below par,” he argued.
