More than 300,000 beneficiaries of the Farmer Input Support Program (FISP) have been successfully registered on the Zambia Integrated Information Management System (ZIAMIS).
James Kalengo, Director of Information, Communications, and Technology (ICT) at the Ministry of Agriculture said this in a statement issued in Lusaka on Friday.
Kalengo highlighted that this achievement underscored the transformative power of technology in driving economic growth and improving livelihoods.
He noted that the ZIAMIS system, developed and deployed by the SMART Zambia Institute, aimed to revolutionise the E-voucher process.
This innovation ensures timely access to essential farming inputs for beneficiaries ahead of the rainy season.

“This milestone reflects the government’s dedication to using technology to enhance service delivery,” Kalengo said.
He emphasized that this streamlined system was set to significantly boost Zambia’s agricultural productivity and food security.
He urged beneficiaries to verify their details to prevent disqualification and encouraged eligible citizens to enroll in the programme.
