Tragic news struck the Nollywood community on Wednesday as famous actor Jnr Pope reportedly drowned while shooting a movie.
Just hours after sharing a video of himself on a boat on Instagram, the actor met his untimely demise at Marine Cable Point in Asaba during a movie shoot.
In the video he posted on IG, the actor could be heard crying out over the risk he was taking; plying river Niger without a life jacket.

4. His charismatic presence extended beyond the screen, as he also served as a brand influencer and content creator with a substantial following on Instagram, boasting over one million followers and counting.

6. Junior Pope’s journey in Nollywood began in 2006, attending auditions and initially playing minor roles such as bodyguards, palace attendants, and servants.
7. However, it was his role in the blockbuster movie “Secret Adventures”, directed by Tchidi Chikere, that catapulted him to fame in 2007.
8. His versatility allowed him to portray various characters, including criminals, villains, armed robbers, militants, and hitmen.
