Rapper Sampa Tembo, artistically known as Sampa the Great has been honoured by President Hakainde Hichilema at the investiture ceremony held at State House to mark independence day.
Sampa was honoured for her contribution towards putting Zambia on the international stage.

Zambian artiste, Tio Nason who is Sampa’s frequent collaborator equally took to his social media handle to toast to the achievement.

Gospel rap sensation and producer Mag 44 who extensively worked with Sampa the Great on her current album, ‘As Above, So Below’ could not resist congratulating the star.

Sampa the Great has scored numerous successes with the most recent being sharing the stage with legendary Grammy winning American R & B and Hip-Hop artiste Lauryn Hill at a show in Australia.
Sampa recently submitted her album for consideration to next year’s Grammy Awards.
