Mrs Hichilema leads talks to explore partnership with Qatar Charity on youth, women empowerment

First Lady Mutinta Hichilema has held discussions with Qatar Charity (QC) to find ways on how they can partner to empower Zambian youths and women.

QC is the largest charity in the Middle East and North Africa region.

Mrs Hichilema said they were encouraged on how QC’s scope of work dovetails with the core vision for the Office of the First Lady.

“We discussed different ways of partnering with Qatar Charity to empower youth and women, as well as the vulnerable in Zambia,” she said.

The First Lady met with Mr Nawaf Abdulla AlHammadi, the Chief of Global Programs at Qatar Charity (QC) on Monday in Doha, Qatar.

According to the official social media handle, Mrs Hichilema said Mr AlHammadi shared how they receive donations from Qatari locals.

“ It was good to see how the Qatari people are stakeholders in funding QC’s projects.

“We look forward to working with the Qatar Charity to finding lasting solutions that will benefit the vulnerable members in our communities,” she said.
