Mpika Council has reportedly spent about K4.4 million to acquire school desks under the 2023 Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
The school desks would be distributed to all schools in 12 wards in Mpika District of Muchinga Province, according to a statement by Council Public Relations Officer Mushota Mpundu.
The statement quoted Mpika District Commissioner, David Siame, as saying “the school desks would motivate learners because most schools in the District have broken desks while others have nothing”.
