Ministry of Education has urged enterprises to back educational initiatives for children with the same enthusiasm and support they provide for sporting activities.
Ministry Director, Sheila Siwela, encouraged businesses to contribute to educational initiatives in the country.
Speaking during the Zambia Dream Circles Initiative (ZDCI) networking breakfast in Lusaka on Thursday, Siwela said the success of the initiatives depended on the support of various stakeholders.

“Zambian Dream Circles Initiative represents a significant step towards achieving our national goals,” she mentioned.
Speaking at the same event, Families are Nations Country Director, Judith Mwila, pointed out that empowering youths through education would combat harmful behaviors such as drug addiction.
Mwila said that the corporate world primarily concentrated on funding sporting events.
“I want to appeal to the corporate sector, let us have our priorities right,” she added.
Mwila stated that the sector should emulate government on how it has supported the young generation.
“Zambia is not the biggest country in Africa but it could the biggest problem if we don’t deal with young generation,” she said.
