Manchester United endured a frustrating 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in London, unable to convert 24 attempts into goals despite dominating the match.

Both teams showcased strong defensive performances, with outstanding saves from their respective goalkeepers.

United, buoyed by their midweek EFL Cup win over Barnsley, started the match with intent, controlling possession and creating several chances.

Alejandro Garnacho and Matthijs de Ligt each tested Palace’s Dean Henderson early on, forcing impressive saves.

Garnacho was particularly close to breaking the deadlock when his curling shot struck the post after a precise pass from Diogo Dalot.

Just moments later, Bruno Fernandes came within inches of scoring, hitting the crossbar with a powerful shot.

The second half saw United continue to press for a goal, with Fernandes narrowly missing the top-left corner again.

Garnacho cross from the left caused further trouble for Palace, forcing another sharp save from Henderson.

At the other end, United’s Andre Onana played a crucial role in keeping the score level, making a fine save from Eddie Nketiah’s powerful shot and then denying Sarr with a stunning full-stretch save that left the crowd in awe.

As the match approached its conclusion, Palace had a golden opportunity to snatch a late victory, but Eberechi Eze missed wide from close range after Sarr’s cutback, leaving Palace still searching for their first win of the season.

Meanwhile, in other Premier League action, Tottenham Hotspur overcame a sluggish start to defeat Brentford 3-1 in a London derby.

At Anfield, Liverpool climbed to the top of the Premier League table, with Luis Diaz scoring twice in a commanding 3-0 victory over AFC Bournemouth.

Liverpool’s victory underscores their strong start to the season, while Manchester United would look to improve their finishing as they continue to seek consistency in their performances.
