Man, 26, reportedly on the run after sexually abusing drunken 40-year-old biological sister

A 26-year-old man of Chingola is on the run after he allegedly sexually abused his 40-year-old biological sister.

According to the Police, Mwima Ngambi was believed to have taken advantage of his sister who was in a drunken state.

This is contained in a statement issued on Monday by Copperbelt Province commanding officer, Peacewell Mweemba.

“It alleged that when he went back home in the early hours of the night, he went into her room where she was sleeping after having enjoyed herself some locally brewed beer, Chibuku.

“Police have since recorded a report of incest,” Mweemba said.

Mweemba said the report was given by the victim that her young brother, a bricklayer raped her.

“Brief facts are that the victim stays with her two brothers and a sister. So on Friday, March 10, 2023 at around 10:00 hours, the three siblings left home and went out while she remained home alone drinking Chibuku.

“When she got drank, she went into her room and slept. While sleeping, her young brother came back from where he had gone and went into her room and found her sleeping, and took advantage of her drunken state and raped her. She shouted for help, but he covered her month, and no one came to her rescue and later ran away,” he said.

Mweemba said the the victim narrated the story to the other family members who were not home, and they advised her to report the matter to the Police.

“A medical report form was issued. Scene of crime was visited and processed. Docket opened, and an effort was made to apprehend the suspect, but he was not found home as he had fled to an unknown place. However, investigations have been instituted,” he said.
