Jean Chisenga, the Patriotic Front (PF) Member of Parliament for Mambilima, has voiced concerns over what she describes as unfair treatment by parliamentary presiding officers.
Chisenga’s remarks followed an incident on Thursday when First Deputy Speaker Malungo Chisangano directed her to leave the House shortly after she entered the chamber.
In a phone interview with Zambia Monitor about the incident, Chisenga said she was taken aback by the Speaker’s order, stating that she had done nothing wrong.

“I had just entered the House, and some UPND MPs were heckling. Suddenly, the Speaker asked me to leave. I don’t believe I did anything to deserve being chased out,” she said.
Chisenga added that she had reviewed her approach to politics since her house was burned after she criticised President Hakainde Hichilema.
“I’m a young politician, committed to contributing to the nation’s development. This incident has disturbed me, but I will seek guidance to understand if there is more to it than I realise,” she said.
