Konkola Blades Football Club (KBFC) has announced the extension of the contract of Head Coach, Beston Chambeshi, until the end of the 2025/2026 football season.
The club announced the development in a statement issued on Wednesday by Media Officer, Chiteta Chinyemba, confirming that Chambeshi’s initial contract, set to expire at the end of November, had been renewed.
Under Chambeshi’s leadership, the team has demonstrated exceptional form during the ongoing 2024/2025 Zambian Premier League (ZPL) National League season, with 14 matches played so far resulting in 10 wins, three draws, and just one loss.
KBFC Chairman, Davy Mubita, praised Chambeshi’s contributions, describing his leadership as pivotal to the club’s success.

“Coach Chambeshi has strategically identified and nurtured young talent through discipline and hard work. Renewing his contract reflects our utmost confidence in his ability to guide us back to the Super Division and compete in the Absa Cup playoffs,” Mubita said.
Chambeshi expressed gratitude and enthusiasm for continuing his role at the club.
“I’m really happy to continue as head coach at Blades. We have set a plan to take Konkola Blades back to the Super League and ensure the club remains there,” Chambeshi said.
The coach reaffirmed his commitment to driving KBFC’s ambitions of becoming one of Zambia’s leading football clubs and achieving continental recognition in the coming years.
