How Man City, Tottenham, Chelsea massive wins unpacked Premier League race

Manchester City has extended their lead over Arsenal to two points following a 4-0 victory against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

Josko Gvardiol’s goal in the 13th minute put City in the lead, a lead that was further solidified by Phil Foden’s goal in the 59th minute, assisted by Bernardo Silva.

In the 71st minute, Gvardiol applied pressure to Arsenal by scoring a second goal, which was solidified by Julian Alvarez.

The victory further distanced third-placed Liverpool from the champions by a margin of seven points.

In another match at the City Grounds in Nottingham, Nottingham Forest conceded two late goals in a 3-2 home loss to Chelsea.

Going into Saturday’s thrilling match, Forest knew that earning a point from their final two matches would ensure safety, especially after Luton Town’s 3-1 loss at West Ham United and Burnley’s 2-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

Additionally, Burnley’s relegation from the Premier League was confirmed as Tottenham Hotspur secured a 2-1 away victory with a late winner from Micky van de Ven on Saturday.

On the other hand, Crystal Palace maintained their impressive form with a 3-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux, courtesy of goals from Michael Olise, Jean-Philippe Matetc, and Eberechi Eze.

Furthermore, Everton secured a 1-0 victory against Sheffield United at Goodison Park, with Abdoulaye Doucoure scoring his seventh Premier League goal of the season to secure the win.
