“I have no doubt in my mind that he is a violent man,” Mwiimbu stated.

He further warned against the misuse of freedom of expression on digital media.

“The government is concerned and disappointed with the increased publication and circulation of false, alarming and dehumanizing information on social media platforms in the recent past,” he added.

Meanwhile, at the same event, Mutati advised social media users to be cautious about the content they share on these platforms.

“We are investing in advanced cybersecurity tools and technology to prevent the spread of harmful content,” he said.

He added that Zambians remained citizens of their country even when they were on social media.

“We call upon you to uphold the values that define our country,” Mutati mentioned.
