Higher Education Board grants additional loans to 690 Mulungushi University students

The Higher Education Loans and Scholarships Board (HELSB) has awarded student loans to an additional 690 first-year students at Mulungushi University for the 2024/2025 academic year.

This followed an initial award of loans to 1,457 students last month from a pool of 4,801 applicants seeking sponsorship at Mulungushi University.

The total number of first-year students granted loans for the academic year now stands at 2,147.

The announcement was made on Tuesday by Chiselwa Kawanda, Manager of Corporate Communications and Customer Services at HELSB.

“The allocation of these additional student loans has been made possible through other sources,” Kawanda said.
