President Hakainde Hichilema and Vice President, Mutale Nalumango, have made cameo appearances in a music video released in honour of the Copper Queens ahead of the Women’s FIFA World Cup to be co-hosted by New Zealand and Australia.
The music video for a song done by Zambian music divas, Wezi, Xaven and Towela entitled ‘Copper Queens Anthem’ has the President and his Vice, flexing a few dance moves.
The song is remeniscent of the boostele flavour made popular by veteran musician Mozegeta of the Chiunda music fame.

The video contains scenes captured from State House and Heroes Stadium, inter-change with some clips of football matches involving the Zambia women’s national team.
The music contains name drops of members of the She-polopolo.
Prominent sibling rappers Macky 2 and Chef 187, who are also brothers to Towela also make appearances in the video.
The collaboration was simultaneously shared by the official Facebook pages of the three artistes including the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) page.
Wezi, born Wezi Mhone thanked the President for a warm reception at State House when filming the video.
“Our Republican President, His Excellency Hakainde Hichilema not only welcomed us to State House but also took a moment to do one or two dance moves for the official music video of the Copper Queens Anthem,” she posted via her Facebook page.
The video which was released on the official FAZ YouTube channel 18 hours ago has 61 thousand views attracting just under 200 comments.
One YouTuber wrote: “What a perfect time to release the song, it’s a morale boosters to the girls.”
Most of the comments praised the composition of the piece of art.
“We start with a great song, we finish with great results. #GoZambiaGo,” one handle posted.
The Women’s World Cup kicks off less than a week from now on July 20 through to August 20.
