Hichilema calls on church to pray for unity, development

President Hakainde Hichilema has called on the church to continue praying for the nation, fostering unity, and seeking divine blessings, particularly for much-needed rains.

Speaking during the Reformed Church in Zambia (RCZ) Mass Ordination and Commissioning service at Kamwala Congregation in Lusaka on Sunday, President Hichilema reaffirmed government’s commitment to partnering with the church in driving development and prosperity.

The President described the service as a significant occasion for the church, the newly ordained Reverends, Evangelists, and the nation.

In a Facebook post, he wrote, “This morning, we had the privilege of attending the Reformed Church in Zambia (RCZ) Mass Ordination and Commissioning service at Kamwala Congregation in Lusaka.”

President Hichilema acknowledged the church’s critical contributions to national governance and development, especially in education and healthcare.

He emphasized that with unity, Zambians could achieve great milestones and create a brighter future for the country.
