President Hichilema praised the large turnout as a sign of unity among the nation’s traditional leaders.
The President was accompanied by several ministers, including Local Government’s Gary Nkombo, Transport’s Frank Tayali, Infrastructure Minister Charles Milupi, and Copperbelt Minister Elisha Matambo.
During his speech, Matambo highlighted the achievements of the United Party for National Development (UPND) government over the past three years.
“The number of children who are back in school now stands at 1.2 million, compared to just 600,000 before the introduction of free education,” he noted.
