Southampton played most of the match with ten men.
Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku scored a late winner in a 1-0 triumph over Bournemouth, securing three points for Chelsea after Robert Sanchez saved a penalty.
Despite Bournemouth’s strong performance, including two shots off the woodwork, Chelsea claimed the victory.
