Man, 29, defiles grade six pupil in Luapula province

Police in Luapula ‘s Mwansabombwe district have arrested Noah Daka,29, for  allegedly defiling a 15 year old grade six pupil.

The incident happened on Wednesday around 23:00 hours when the juvenile was sleeping with her sister.

Luapula province police commanding officer Gloria Mulele said that the victim sustained human bites on her back as the man forced himself on her.

“A grade six pupil has been defiled by a neighbour in Lubansa village of Mwansabombwe. The victim sustained human bites on the back and painful right arm and the medical report form has been issued,” Mulele said.

She said in a statement on Friday that while the victim was sleeping she noticed someone touching and undressing her.

The victim tried to call for help but Daka covered her mouth using his trousers.

She said when the minor woke up she saw a man whom she identified as Daka who lived in the neighborhood.

Mulele said the victim was able to identify the alleged perpetrator after he switched on the light on this phone.

The victim later informed her parents about what happened and the matter was reported to the police leading to Daka’s apprehension.
