Govt seeks stakeholder collaboration, spiritual intervention to resolve energy crisis

The government has urged stakeholders to collaborate in addressing the energy crisis affecting the country.

Energy Minister, Makozo Chikote, acknowledged the crisis and assured that the government was working tirelessly to find solutions.

During a press briefing in Lusaka on Thursday, Chikote encouraged the public to openly discuss the issues they face and to support the government in resolving them.

“We are having sleepless nights as a government,” he said.

Chikote admitted that the crisis was severely impacting citizens’ livelihoods.

He also noted that spiritual commitment was essential, urging the public to seek divine intervention in overcoming the crisis.

“We need to commit our energies to the Almighty,” he added.
