Government has committed to consistently engage with investors to continue creating a conducive business environment while building a strong and resilient economy.

Mulenga stated that this would be done by creating an enabling environment and ensure that right policies are in place.

He said this at the Yango Tech Day event which unveiled plans to launch future technological investments that would increase the existing service line of the company on Friday.

“Government will continue to engage with the private sector as the administration of President Hakainde Hichilema thrives to create a conducive business environment,” Mulenga said.

He also urged players in the transport sector to consider interacting with the postal services and create a partnership which would assist in modernising its system.

Mulenga stressed that this was because the service continued to lag behind and that with technology, it could improve.

He therefore commended the firm for expanding its business and that government wanted it to succeed as well as partner with other sectors.

“President Hichilema continues to encourage the citizens to go cashless which has the potential to help the country curb a lot of things such corruption and improve productivity,” Mulenga said.

Speaking earlier, Yango Global Chief Executive Officer, Roman Karlash commended government for its transparency and openness regarding doing business which gave the firm confidence to expand.

He said the company would in the next few months launch new services to their line such as the Deli and Education to support Zambia’s education sector.

“We have 13 openings in Africa and Zambia gave us the best results in less than we have achieved the popularity among customers which we did not expect. Your support means the world to us, and we hope to pay it back by introducing technologies and solutions that will change Zambia forever.

“Security, transparency and digitalisation have become synonymous with the our brand in all the countries of our presence and seeing how welcome we are here just makes it more real,” Karlash said.
