Google’s Gemini introduces real-time video, screen interaction features

0

At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona, Google unveiled new capabilities for its AI assistant, Gemini, allowing users to ask questions using videos or content displayed on their screens in real time.

The new “Screenshare” feature enables users to share their phone’s screen with Gemini and inquire about the content they’re viewing. For instance, during the demonstration, users could ask Gemini what other clothing would pair well with a pair of baggy jeans they were shopping for.

In addition, Google introduced a video search feature, which was teased at Google I/O last year. This feature allows users to ask questions about a video as it’s being filmed.

These features are set to roll out later this month to Gemini Advanced users on the Google One AI Premium plan for Android.
